Mari has experience from both the consulting and government sectors. After completing her studies at the University of Bergen, with a specialization in labor law, she has developed extensive expertise in labor law issues—particularly regarding working hours and the relevant regulations. She assists with a wide range of labor law matters, from day-to-day legal support to handling complex individual cases and providing guidance through challenging restructuring processes.
She has solid experience advising on changes to working time arrangements, drafting and modifying employment contracts, as well as providing assistance related to the termination of employment relationships. In addition, Mari has extensive experience in banking and finance law, particularly financial regulatory frameworks, and assists clients with issues related to regulatory requirements, especially in the securities market and payment services.
Her work includes licensing processes, prospectus preparation, and approval processes with the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway, outsourcing agreements, as well as ongoing compliance and anti-money laundering work.
Mari has led several complex projects, including prospectus preparation and licensing applications for both payment institutions and securities firms. She serves as a contracted compliance officer for a securities firm, where she is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, conducting audits, and providing practical advice to management.
Mari has been named an “associate to watch” in Chambers FinTech Legal 2025 and 2026.
